Ship updates your users actually see

Your users never miss
what you shipped.

Merged PRs become clean announcements — on your changelog page, in subscriber inboxes, and as a bell inside your app. AI drafts, you hit publish.

We only read PR titles, descriptions, and commit messages — never your code.

Publish once. Your users see it everywhere.

A public changelog page, email to subscribers, and an in-app bell widget — one publish updates all three.

v2.4.1

Built for people who ship

Everyone on your team benefits from a changelog — even if only one person writes code.

Founders

Proof your product is alive

Investors, early users, and prospects all want to see momentum. A public changelog shows your product is actively improving.

Support teams

Stop answering "what changed?"

Every release without a changelog creates support tickets. Give your team a link to share instead of repeating the same answers.

Developers

Ship it and move on

You merged the PR. That's enough work. CommitPosts handles the part nobody enjoys — turning it into something users actually understand.

Your users

Keep them in the loop

Users who know what's new stick around longer. A changelog turns silent updates into moments that build trust.

How it works

1

Connect a repo

Sign in with GitHub and connect any repo you own or contribute to.

2

Sync your activity

CommitPosts fetches your merged PRs and commits — titles, descriptions, and labels. Syncs automatically every day so nothing slips through.

3

Publish — users hear about it

AI writes user-friendly entries. Review, edit if needed, and publish — to your changelog page, subscriber inboxes, and the bell widget in your app.

Everything you need

In-app bell widget

One script tag. A small bell in your app shows users what changed the moment you publish — no redeploy, no email required.

Email subscribers

Users subscribe to your changelog and get notified automatically the moment you publish. No newsletters to manage.

Public changelog page

Every product gets a shareable public page at commitposts.com/changelog/your-product.

AI-generated entries

Sync your repo, click Generate — AI turns technical PR and commit language into clean, user-friendly changelog entries.

Edit before publishing

Review and edit AI output before it goes live. You stay in control of your voice.

Auto-categorised, RSS included

Entries are tagged as New Feature, Bug Fix, Improvement, or Breaking Change — and every changelog ships with an RSS feed.

Your privacy, answered

We know giving a third-party access to your repos is a big ask. Here's exactly what we do and don't do.

No. We only read PR titles, descriptions, labels, and commit messages. We never access file contents, diffs, or anything else in your codebase.

GitHub requires the Contents permission to read commit messages and branch info. PR titles and descriptions come separately via the Pull requests permission. Either way, your actual code is never touched.

Only the ones you explicitly choose when installing the GitHub App. You stay in full control — add or remove repos at any time directly from your GitHub settings.

Never. Your repo data is used only to generate your changelog entries and for nothing else.

Yes. Uninstall the GitHub App from your GitHub settings and CommitPosts immediately loses all access to your repos.

Paste one script tag before the closing body tag. It works with any framework — no build step, and new entries appear without redeploying your app.

No. It loads asynchronously after your page renders, so it never blocks your app.

Your next release deserves an audience

First setup takes 5 minutes. Every release after that: sync, generate, publish — done in seconds. Free, no credit card.
